When can I check in or out?

Check-in is possible from 15:00, check-out is until 12:00. It is possible to use the hotel’s private beach and wellness area before check-in or after check-out.

Is early check-in or late check-out possible?

Subject to availability and possibility, a late check-out is possible for an additional charge. The surcharge is EUR 40 in the high season and EUR 30 in the low and mid season.

Early check-in is not offered, but if your room is ready earlier, you can check in earlier at no extra charge.

Is there anything to consider in the rooms?

Our hotel has different room categories. We offer standard double rooms, superior double rooms with a sauna or private bathtub and TV in the bathroom, junior suites and a spacious suite. All rooms are air-conditioned and have a French balcony or a normal balcony with seating.

When are the rooms ready for occupancy?

The rooms are guaranteed to be ready for occupancy from 15:00 – or earlier if possible.

When is breakfast served? And what do I do if I sleep through it?

In the winter months we serve breakfast during the week from 07:30 – 11:00 and at weekends from 07:30 – 12:00.
In the summer months, you can enjoy breakfast during the week from 07:00 – 11:00 and at weekends from 07:00 – 12:00.
If you miss breakfast, an à la carte breakfast is available. On request and subject to availability, we also offer breakfast in the room at a surcharge of EUR 3 per person.

Is half board available? And if so, what is included?

It is possible to book half board with dinner in the casino restaurant “Die Yacht”. The price is EUR 47 per person and includes a 4-course menu excluding drinks. Please note that this offer is subject to availability and for adults only, as access is only possible via Casino Velden.

Where is the private beach located and are sun loungers available there?

The hotel’s private beach is 150 meters away from the CasinoHotel Velden. Sunshades and sun loungers are available on the beach, and you can obtain free bathing towels from us at reception.

Is there a restaurant in the hotel?

In our “Le Café” (directly in the house) you can enjoy delicious snacks, snacks, homemade pastries, ice cream and coffee specialties from Schärf.

What services are included in my stay?

The price includes an extensive breakfast and the use of our small wellness area with sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin, tropical shower and heated loungers. In summer, our hotel beach awaits you with sun loungers, parasols and towels.

Is my pet allowed in the hotel and what does it cost?

Pets are generally welcome at the CasinoHotel Velden, except in the breakfast room and on the beach. The surcharge for bringing your pet is EUR 15,- per day.

How long is reception open? And who do I contact in an emergency?

In winter, reception is open from 07:00 – 21:00.
In summer, reception is open from 07:00 – 23:00.

There is a telephone in the room in which all emergency numbers are stored. If you are unable to get to your room, you will find an emergency card in the entrance area of Casino Velden. A member of staff will then use it to open your room. The contact details of Mr. Politzky, Ms. Pichler and Ms. Premur-Metaj are also stored at Casino Velden – a casino employee will be happy to contact the above-mentioned persons for you in an emergency.

Is it possible to book a room without breakfast?

In principle, our room rate also includes breakfast. If you specifically do not want breakfast, this is also possible on request.

How long can I cancel free of charge? Is there cancellation insurance?

Our cancellation policy:
Cancellation up to 3 months before the date of arrival: no cancellation conditions

Cancellation up to 1 month before the day of arrival: 40% of the total package price
Cancellation up to 1 week before the day of arrival: 70 % of the total package price

Cancellation in the last week before the day of arrival: 90 % of the total package price

You can of course take out travel cancellation insurance with a provider of your choice at any time.

There is never a dull moment around Velden am Wörthersee. (E-)biking, golfing, hiking and more are on the program from spring to late autumn, while Lake Wörthersee is transformed into a playground for water sports enthusiasts in summer. Even in winter, Velden does not come to rest. Visit the charming Christmas market, marvel at the floating Advent wreath or take an Advent boat trip on Lake Wörthersee – you could hardly enjoy the pre-Christmas period in a more atmospheric way. One thing is for sure: Velden am Wörthersee is a “place to be” at any time of year.

Get on your bike and get out into nature. On extensive (e-)bike tours, you can explore the most beautiful aspects of Lake Wörthersee and the surrounding region – with a trained guide if you wish.

The sight of the turquoise waters of Lake Wörthersee draws everyone out onto the shore and into the water. Sailing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing – these are just a few of the many possibilities offered by Carinthia’s largest lake.
